Hi there! I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source Replacement Side View Mirror. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2004 through 2008 Acura TL. This is modeled after your Acura's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your Acura right from the factory. And because it is modeled after that original look and fit, it's gonna be very easy to get installed.
You're not gonna have to do any drilling or anything like that. It's got the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. So basically just take your old mirror off, put this one in its place, you're ready to go. It does have the same electrical wiring, so you just plug this in into that original receptacle. But for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance, you can see those original equipment numbers on the screen there.
So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you take the original mirror off, if you see either of those numbers anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need and gonna fit right in place of that original. This does have the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It also has the heated mirror glass. It's gonna clear frost and ice and help reduce fogging. And it is also gonna support the memory function, so your car's computer will recognize your preset mirror positions.
Keep in mind all those capabilities, the power remote, the heated glass, and the memory function will only work if your vehicle is already capable of those functions. It's not gonna add that capability to a vehicle that didn't have it already. You can see that our lens here does have a blue tinting that's gonna help reduce glare. This is gonna be an OE grade quality product, so the front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's gonna give you a nice clear image. It is a flat lens like most driver's side mirror, so it's gonna give you a true representation of object size behind you that is going to have the breakaway design.
So if you we're to run into the side of your garage or a parking post or something like that, the mirror is gonna fold in on itself to help deter breakage and absorb some of that impact. But it does have a nice durable plastic housing with this black finish, which can be painted to match your vehicle.
